German Opel Blitz 3-Ton Cargo Truck - 21.Panzer Division, Deutsches Afrika Korps, North Africa, 1942 German Sd. Kfz. 185 Bergetiger Recovery Vehicle - schwere Panzer Abteilung 508, Italy, 1944

The 3-ton Opel "Blitz" truck was the Wehrmacht's principal general-purpose truck during the Second World War. The engine was a water-cooled, straight-six OHV gasoline unit of 3.6 liters that was fueled by a 21.6 gallon gasoline tank situated under the driver's seat.

In 1944, three Tiger I tanks were field converted by the sPzAbt 509 to recovery vehicles and redesignated Bergepanzer Tiger. In November of 1944, all three were transferred to the sPzAbt 501.

German Heinkel He 111H-6 Medium Bomber Russian T-34/85 Medium Tank - Unidentified Unit, Eastern Front, 1944
When World War I ended, the German Air Force was disbanded under the Treaty of Versailles, which required the German government to abandon all military aviation by October 1st, 1919.

The first generation T-34 medium tank made its debut in combat during the summer of 1941, when the Wehrmacht launched its invasion of the Soviet Union. The T-34 easily outclassed the German PzKpfw III and IV models, thanks to its hard-hitting 76.2mm main gun, thick frontal armor, wide tracks, and overall superior mobility.

Polish Sherman Firefly Ic Medium Tank - 2nd Squadron, 1st Krechowiecki Lancers, 2nd Armoured Brigade, 2nd "Warsaw" Armoured Division, Italy, 1945 Italian Piaggio P.108 Heavy Bomber

The M4 Sherman medium tank was regarded by many as the workhorse of the US Army during World War II. In fact, virtually all of the Allied armies employed the Sherman in their armed forces, including the British, who developed an upgunned variant called the "Firefly".

The Piaggio P.108 Bombardiere was an Italian four-engine heavy bomber and the only one of its type to see service with Italy during World War II. The prototype first flew in 1939 and it entered service in 1941. It was one of a handful of Italian combat aircraft that could match the best manufactured by the Allies.
