Unimax Unveils their 2010 Lineup
With the Nuremberg Toy Fair serving as their backdrop, Unimax, the makers of the wildly popular Forces of Valor, Bravo Team, Micro Military and Battle Beam R/C lines, drew back the curtains on their 2010 lineup. Several notables were included in the mix, including a 1:32 scale rendition of a German 3-ton cargo truck, Jagdtiger tank destroyer and updated US GMC 2-1/2 ton 'Deuce-and-a-half'. Of particular interest is the re-introduction of their M26 Pershing heavy tank, which had commanded as much as $200 in some after market venues. In their diminuitive Micro Military brand, collectors can look forward to a Bussing Nag Tpye 4500A cargo truck and Wespe self-propelled howitzer, not to mention several repaints of existing vehicles. Their long delayed mirror-finish B-25 and B-26 bombers are finally winging their way to us, with other new product not too-far-behind.
In their 1:24 scale radio-controlled Battle Beam series, aficionadoes can lay claim to a M26 Pershing heavy tank, German PzKpfw IV Ausf. H medium tank, and Russian T-34/85 medium tank. The company's 1:18 scale Bravo Team range will be bolstered by repaints of their Sherman and Tiger tanks, as well as several modern vehicles, which will include a US M1A1 Abrams tank, 2 schemes for the M2 Bradley IFV, and a US Marines LAV-25 amphibious vehicles. We know everyone has been sitting on their hands waiting for news regarding Unimax' 2009 Forces of Valor releases. Well, we've got some great news to share. Our first batch of 1:32 scale Russian KV-1 heavy tanks are ripping up the countryside in an effort to get here before the long July 4th weekend. Seriously, we should have them in stock next week, and will begin pumping them out the minute we get our greedy little paws on 'em. In other news, the new StuG and King Tiger are expected in August, along with their eagerly awaited 1:72 scale GMC truck. Forces of Valor Adds More Forces to Their Valorous Lineup
With the Nuremberg Toy Fair in full swing, Unimax, the makers of the wildly popular Forces of Valor range of military replicas, announced their first half of 2009 lineup. In the 1:32 scale sector, collectors will be enticed with both a Russian KV-1 heavy tank and an early war StuG III assault gun with a short-barelled gun. Also under development is a King Tiger Ausf. A heavy tank with a Porsche turret, along with the reintroduction of their Sd. Kfz. 251/1 half-track in winter white and US M1A1 Abrams tank in desert sand.
In the smaller scale 1:72 scale market, military enthusiasts will finally get a GMC 2-1/2 ton truck, Panther Ausf. G medium tank, and Elefant tank destroyer. Likely, each of these will be made available at a later date in deluxe sets.
Finally, if you were shut out of the 1:16 scale Tiger I promotion then you'll be happy to learn that the manufacturer has uncovered a cache of their Michael Wittmann Final Battle tank, which portrays his mount used at the battle of Cintheuax, France in mid-1944. Forces of Valor Pays Tribute to the Abrams
In an unexpected but certainly welcome move, Unimax has decided to bring back the M1A1 Abrams tank as part of their 2009 lineup. Painted in a scintillating desert sand camouflage scheme, the first issue Abrams tank has become one of the most important vehicles in the Forces of Valor range, and as a result one of the most coveted. Its quite possible the Abrams has been brought back to serve as the focal point for a potential Operation Iraqi Freedom Commemorative Series, although this would necesitate the resurrection of the Challenger, Humvee and Iraqi T-72 tank.
