The Ducati 998R "Testastretta" is equipped with a water-cooled two cylinder- 4 cycle-fuel injected engine. It has a cubic capacity of 999 cc and an output of approx. 188 bhp @ 12.500 rpm. The maximum speed is in excess of 300 kph. One special feature of the engine is the "desmodromic" valve operation.
