In 1939, the Waffenamt ordered 10 8.8cm FlaK18 mounted on the chassis of the Daimler-Benz DB10 Zgkw 12t. These were to act as heavy anti-tank vehicles which would also be capable of destroying fortified positions. In 1940 a further series was built on the FAMO F3 Zgkw 18t which were also intended for use in the anti-aircraft role. In 1942, an order was placed for 112 8.8cm FlaK37 ausf Zgkw 18t to be built for the Luftwaffe and Army, with the first 14 to be delivered in June and July 1943. However, interest in these vehicles was insufficient and the order was dropped. Sold Out!
