The VBCI is a 26-ton wheeled infantry vehicle designed for use by mechanized infantry platoons. In 2000, the French army selected the VBCI as the successor to the AMX 10P, and GIAT is set to equip the French infantry with 550 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) and 150 command post vehicles.
In its basic form, the VBCI is capable of carrying 9 soldiers plus a gunner and the driver. The vehicle is armed with a 25mm cannon and a 7.62mm machine gun, and is further equipped with a fire control system that includes a laser range finder and thermal camera. Sold Out!
