Easy Model Fires Up Their Cobras
First announced back in 2007, it finally appears as if there's movement concerning Easy Model's proposed fleet of Bell AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters. Two "Snakes" are hovering over the diecast battlefield, the first based upon a US Army AH-1F attack helo while the second replicates an Israeli AH-1S gunship. Easy Model's 'Hip' Pocket
It's been a long time in the making, but Easy Model has finally debuted images for their upcoming series of Mi-17 'Hip' transport helicopters. Rendered in 1:72 scale, the first two introductions will focus on a Russian and Czech chopper, and should sit nicely alongside some of their other Warsaw Pact helicopters released over the last few months. Also due out some time in August are two variants of the US UH-1B 'Huey' helicopter. Easy Model Sets Off to Guards Our Coasts
In quiet yet steady fashion, Easy Model has put together one of the largest armadas of 1:72 scale helicopters available anywhere today. Seen here is a Sikorsky HH-60J Jayhawk, workhorse of the US Coast Guard for the better part of this decade (EM36965). Also debuted is a USN HH-60H Pave Hawk helicopter (EM36962), which is operated by HS-6 'Indians'. Both of these fully assembled helos are expected to land sometime in July...[posted 6/13/2010]
Easy Model Looks to Feed the Sharks
Perhaps it was poetic justice that just as the summer season closes, one modelmaker says it still isnt safe to go back in the water. According to Easy Model, one of the most prolific manufacturers of pre-assembled plastic military replicas, the company plans to offer three different 1:72 scale versions of the Russian-built Kamov Ka-50 attack helicopter. Featuring twin counter-rotating blades and bristling with armament, the three replicas (37020, 37021, 37022) are expected to stand up sometime in November, just weeks after their eagerly awaited Mi 24 Hind gunships begin spooling up their engines. Images for each of the three Kamovs have been posted and we are now accepting pre-orders...[posted 9/1/2009]
