Chinese Peoples Liberation Army T-59 Main Battle Tank - 1965 German Steyr RSO/01 Crawling Tractor with PaK 40 Anti-Tank Gun - 2.SS Panzer Division Das Reich, Normandy, 1944

The Chinese Type 59 (Chinese industrial designation: WZ120) Main Battle Tank is a Chinese produced version of the ubiquitous Soviet T-54A tank. The first vehicles were produced in 1958 and it was accepted into service in 1959, with serial production beginning in 1963.

Raupenschlepper Ost, literally "Crawling Tractor - East", is more commonly abbreviated to RSO. This fully tracked, lightweight vehicle was conceived in response to the poor performance of wheeled and half-tracked vehicles in the mud and snow during the Wehrmacht's first winter on the Soviet Front.

RAF Hawker Hurricane Mk. 11C Fighter - Squadron Leader D. du Vivier, Acklington, 1942 German Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind Anti-Aircraft Gun - schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 560, Hungary, 1945
The Hawker Hurricane was the first monoplane to join the Royal Air Force as a fighter aircraft, capable of reaching speeds in excess of 300-mph in level flight.

The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind ("Whirlwind") was an anti-aircraft vehicle based on the Panzer IV. It was developed in 1944 as a successor to the earlier AA tank, the Mobelwagen.

A British variant, designated "Achilles", was developed to mount the successful 17-pounder anti-tank gun in a modified turret. It was used by the British, Canadian and Polish armies in Italy and north-west Europe.

The B-17, arguably World War II's most famous heavy bomber, first flew on July 28th, 1935, before a crowd of reporters eager to see Boeing's new bomber take wing. It was dubbed the "Flying Fortress" by the members of the press in attendance because of its (at least for the time) heavy defensive armament.
